Improving Iron Ore Export Plant Reliability

PROJECT SUMMARY

PPM were engaged to improve reliability and optimise a major Iron Ore plant.

The team analysed belt steering, chute flow and conveyor dynamics for the train unloaders, stackers, reclaimers and ship loader with a nameplate capacity in excess of 13,000tph.

Problems were resolved by working with our client’s people and external experts to analyse, inspect, model and provide designs and modifications to fix the problems. Solutions included modifications in mechanical equipment; software and operational practices.

Our people to successfully implemented projects that eliminated and reduced equipment damage and significant plant delays.
