Under Berth Remediation

PROJECT SUMMARY

PPM were engaged to refurbish corroded ageing berth support legs and fenders on an operating berth.

• The Project team successfully designed and completed the Concrete Fender remediation using a custom designed watertight enclosed platform that operated up to 2m below water level at high tide and captured all contaminated water from hydro-blasting and waste concrete.
• The Project team successfully designed and completed the under berth Steel Pile repairs by excavating the revetment, blasting, welding repairs and stiffening jackets and then sealing of piles.
