PROJECT SUMMARY

PPM were engaged to replace the worn out berth long travel rails for ship loaders.

  • The Project team successfully redesigned the rail system to better suit the operating environment and settlement replacing 5 rails, a total of 1400m of rail, in planned shutdown windows of 120 hours maximum duration. The project involved detailed planning and execution work using hydro-demolition equipment.
  • The new rails were installed to a high tolerance with a 20+ year design life,
  • The project was completed under budget with no injuries.
