PROJECT SUMMARY

PPM were engaged to build of four new Coal Terminal Yard machines.

• The PPM team have successfully completed 85% of the project by leading a high-capability project team using PPM Project Management systems and processes – achieving benchmark safety, cost and quality of work on time.
• The team closely managed detailed machine specifications based on client requirements and learnings from other terminals, mine sites, & manufacturing facilities; Tendering to major suppliers and then deciding to build the new machines in Australia; By conducting careful selection and infield coaching of subcontractors with a focus on safety and quality management as well as capability.
• The project involved off-site build and interstate marine transport of all four machines – total weight ~3,500 tonnes.
