PROJECT SUMMARY

PPM were engaged to manage the quality of the construction process.

• The Project team successfully managed the design and construction process for 3 new Stackers and 1 new Reclaimer managing key risks to cost, quality of work, and on-time safe delivery.
• The construction work involved; off-site lay-down areas and machine assembly; punch-list rectification and coating repairs; pre-commissioning and partial no-load commissioning; interstate marine transport of complete machines.
• The project construction strategy successfully minimised impacts on ship loading operations and minimised rework and re-handling of new equipment – together weighing ~3,500 tonnes
