We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our team in Wollongong.  Working in the Project Controls team,  and reporting to the Project Controls Manager,  this role will include;

  • Assess the scope of work and develop a detailed project schedule(s) in conjunction with subject matter experts (SME’s)
  • Prepare detailed schedules for each package of work within the scope of the Project, following PPM standards and processes, utilising best practice methodology and software.
  • Develop and manage the overall project master schedule consistent with the project execution strategy, recognising the plan and all interactions with mine operations. Identify the critical path for the project schedule. Prepare material for and run the weekly project critical task meeting
  • Develop progress and performance reports
  • Run Progress meetings/take actions and issue
  • Manage Project Schedule(s)
  • Provide technical expertise in all planning and scheduling activities
  • Keep Project Schedule(s) updated weekly

Ideally, you will have;

  • Significant recent planning experience, ideally in heavy industry and or mining
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Project and PrimaveraP6 (desirable)
  • Knowledge and expertise in planning practices and standards
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and take direction
  • Have an eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to perform more than one task at a time and solve problems quickly
  • A great team player and can work with a variety of people across various levels within the business
  • A great attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

You will be Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Business or Project Management with a solid background in scheduling projects using PrimaVera project management system. Experienced combining multiple projects into a Master Schedule along with advanced Microsoft Office skills.
