As a Project Manager for Electrical/Control Systems, you will be responsible for delivering asset improvement projects across various programs, ensuring all projects meet their time, cost, and quality targets. Your work will begin from Gate 2 of the Lifecycle Framework, managing the design, tendering, and delivery phases of electrical and control systems projects. You will also collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple projects with an indicative cumulative value of $10M+, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, cost, time, and quality requirements.
• Lead project design, tendering, and delivery phases, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to ensure seamless delivery of projects according to project management plans.
• Prepare tender documentation and assess technical submissions.
• Provide timely project performance reports, including cost and schedule forecasts.
• Take ownership of all project outcomes and ensure proper handover to internal clients.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (PLC/Control Systems preferred).
• Project Management qualification is highly desirable.
• 5-15 years of experience in project delivery, with an advantage if within the Water Industry.
• Proven experience managing infrastructure projects, including evaluation of asset performance, planning, and reporting.
• Strong experience in managing teams, consultants, and contractors.
• High-level interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality planning reports and Business Cases.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Current Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver’s License.
