We are currently seeking a Drafting Coordinator to join our dynamic, multi-disciplined team on a key manufacturing project.
The Role
As a Drafting Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering high-quality drafting and 3D modelling services for Project Prime. You will establish drafting standards, oversee 3D model development, and ensure compliance with our Engineering Management Plan. This is a leadership position, critical to achieving project success through efficient communication and prioritisation of drafting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership: Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with PPM policies, including participating in monthly audits.
Drafting Coordination:
Develop and enforce drafting standards and procedures.
Establish and manage the drawing review and management system, including revision control and storage.
Oversee the development and integration of 3D models from OEMs and internal teams.
Prioritise and allocate drafting tasks in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
Drafting Execution:
Create detailed drawings for tender, construction, and fabrication purposes.
Develop and update 3D models.
Ensure all drafting is completed to PPM, Australian, and international standards.
Project Delivery:
Ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with project scope.
Actively manage risks and contribute to achieving a zero-harm project outcome.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 10 years of drafting experience, including multi-disciplined capital projects in heavy industry.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor 3D software, and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and Project).
Strong understanding of engineering, construction, and commissioning processes.
Ability to manage risks and prioritise tasks effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Familiarity with Australian and industry standards and regulations.
